The Kaiser Report on Traffic and Transit

Cambridge will face severe traffic and transit problems, if the massive scale of citywide development currently envisioned goes forward.

New projects will bring at least 50,000 additional car trips per day and 50,000 additional transit trips per day.  Yet there are no plans or funding in place to significant increase street or subway capacity.

Mr. Kaiser is a Traffic and Transit Engineer and resident of Hamilton Street in Cambridge since 1965.

He served as a Traffic Engineer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 15 years and has produced several traffic studies for community groups.
